Overview
The RACTS ComLink Model 0408 provides the ideal solution for the demanding inmate telephone system needs of correctional facilities. It integrates smart technology, recording capabilities and line concentration to provide an efficient, economical telephone system. This means that small to medium sized correctional facilities can now utilize the same features and functionality that only large facilities could previously enjoy.
The RACTS ComLink Model 0408 is a remote "line controller" with two interdependent circuit boards installed in a small encasement and is driven by Public Sector Technologies' feature rich, upgradeable software. It controls the operation of up to eight "dumb" non-coin telephones while sharing four or fewer central office lines.
The RACTS ComLink Model 0408 incorporates Digital Signal Processor (DSP) technology to allow for efficient voice recording and state-of-the-art call processing such as call rating, answer detection, call detail records, called party rate quotes and automated operator functions for collect and debit calls.
Reliability is a key ingredient of the RACTS ComLink system. Because it does not rely on a PC to provide basic telephone functions, it is less likely to encounter inevitable problems that plague PC's.
