Overview

Where fewer stations and lines exist, Public Sector Technologies' RBC-0408 concentrator fits the bill.  Like the ACU-1224, it is simple and easy to install.  It concentrates up to 8 telephone sets to 4 or fewer telephone lines.  It is also suitable for truck stops, malls, airports, or correctional facilities.  But it is also ideal for smaller sites like strip shopping centers, hotels, or motels where multiple coin phones are needed due to the physical layout of the facility, but usage does not justify the line cost.  Its built-in 911 feature insures that emergency calls will still get through even if all of the telephone lines are in use.

The RBC-0408 Line Concentrator provides the ability to poll all the phones connected to it through the use of a "toggle feature."  This feature allows incoming calls on lines 1-4 to ring through to stations 1-8 provided that both the station and line are idle.  You can toggle back and forth between the stations designated for each telephone line (i.e., first call to CO line 1 reaches station 1, second call to CO line 1 reaches station 5, third call to CO line reaches station 1, etc.).
